The rifle has a quality barrel,if you scope it correctly and use the right ammo it could prove to be very accurate. Copper fouling is not as critical in the larger calibers but Hi-Power barrel maintenance is more than shotgun and pistol. There is a thread about cracked stocks, you might need to learn a little about screwdrivers and keeping the action or guard screws tight. You wouldn't likely have the chip to glue back in place,there are members with knowledge and experience considerably beyond my own but I would say don't worry,it can still be shot.
